Subject: July Basketball Open Gym for 1st-8th Graders,

Dear South County Parents,

We are excited to announce that SCAA Basketball will be hosting Open Gym sessions for 1st through 8th graders throughout the month of July. This is a fantastic opportunity for young basketball enthusiasts to enjoy pick-up games and improve their skills in a relaxed, yet structured environment.

What is Open Gym?

Open Gym is a chance for players to engage in pick-up basketball games. Upon arrival, players can choose to shoot around, practice dribbling, or participate in pick-up games of varying team sizes (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5). In these games, the winning team stays on the court, while the losing team waits for the next available game. This format ensures continuous play with minimal stoppages, and each game lasts 10-15 minutes.

1st-2nd Grade: Mondays at Gunston Elementary School, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM (July 1 - July 29)

  Hosted by Coach Bey

3rd-4th Grade: Fridays at Gunston Elementary School, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM (July 12 - August 2)
